Clir Renewables (Clir), the market intelligence platform for wind and solar, has today been recognized on Canada’s Top Growing Companies, a list curated by The Globe and Mail that ranks Canadian companies on three-year revenue growth.

Canada’s Top Growing Companies is an editorial ranking that was launched in 2019. It aims to celebrate the boldest entrepreneurial achievement by identifying and bringing the accomplishments of innovative businesses in Canada to the forefront. In total, 430 companies earned a spot on this year’s ranking.

Placing in the top 200, Clir — which turned five at the start of this year — earned its spot on the list for a second consecutive year with a three-year revenue growth of 274%. An industry-leading cleantech company, Clir was developed to accelerate renewable energy production and reduce humankind's impact on the planet.

Through its work, Clir incentivizes the shift to wind and solar energy through improved production, health, insurance and financing. By benchmarking against 200GW of data, the company offers market intelligence and data-driven insight to improve the economics of wind and solar energy projects which will prove vital for countries such as Canada in their pledges to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

“As we navigate an exciting and unpredictable time in the global renewable energy market, we are delighted to have our growth recognized once again by The Globe and Mail as a Top Growing Company.” said Gareth Brown, Chief Executive Officer, Clir Renewables. “As we grow, we seek to leverage our industry data to continually diversify our offerings in the market. To have this progress recognized is a tribute to the whole team and how far we’ve come in such a short amount of time.”

“Canada's Top Growing Companies recognizes the tremendous ambition and innovation of entrepreneurs in Canada," says Dawn Calleja, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “The next generation of Canadian businesses can draw inspiration from this ranking.”

“In an uncertain world, the success stories of the companies marked in this year’s Report on Business magazine’s list of Top Growing Companies are a beacon of optimism,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “The Globe and Mail congratulates them on their achievements.”

The full list of 2022 winners along with editorial coverage is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine which can be found here.
